Stay tuned for a complete collection of information regarding the newest addition to the 16-year old Nintendo franchise, Donkey Kong Country. The latest title, Donkey Kong Country Returns was developed by Retro Studios and will be hitting shelves on the 21st of the month. DKC Returns is going to be the first DKC title not developed in collaboration with Rare.
Donkey Kong Country Returns will be available exclusively for the Wii and will utilize two different control schemes – the first method requiring both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk and the second allowing gamers to play with a horizontal Wii Remote. Much like New Super Mario Bros. Wii released around this time last year, DKC Returns will offer a 2.5D side-scrolling experience. Among the most obvious modifications made to the franchise since the last DKC title are the exclusion of the classic water levels and the replacement of Kremling enemies with evil Tikis.
